The current owners have loved this property since they purchased in 2007. Kim says, ''I love the peacefulness of this house, the ecosystem, the natural beauty, and the view of the surrounding mountains. The house and property hold a unique, creative, beautiful, loving, and magical energy that I've not felt in any other place I've lived, and I've moved 28 times in my life. When folks come over, they always say how comfortable they feel here, how relaxed. We've all felt it here, and it is extraordinary.'' Walter states similar feelings concerning the property, ''The privacy, it is very quiet, very cozy and welcoming to guests. The family room where the tv is great! The catwalk and open ceiling make it evenly heated. The View! Every window has an incredible view. We see rainbows and beautiful sunsets and sunrises.'' Kim continues, ''I've enjoyed learning some homesteading while we've lived here, from raising chickens (layers and broilers), tending to gardens, canning what we've grown, to home repairs; we've done a lot with our space. My father did a lot of the work here while he was able to come up, and we've enjoyed making improvements where we were able. Walter has also done a lot of work on things.'' The current owners have planted a peach and pear trees and have 3 established apple trees. They have over 18 gorgeous lilac trees. Kim says, ''We can all of our fruit and there is nothing like having peach jam in February made from peaches on my own property.'' Kim started her business here. ''Based on lavender and balsam I gathered from our yard! Since then, I am proud to say that I've grown so much I need more space to work in and hope to employ someone to help me! I'm not sure I would've been able to do that had I not lived in this house.'' Lastly, Kim says, ''We've hosted INCREDIBLE sledding parties, birthday parties and also had our wedding rehearsal here! So many memories in 14 years, and we have grown so much as a family; it's incredible.''
